Welcome to the Connecticut Parkinson's Working Group

We are a non-profit organization that provides support and social networking for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers. We meet once a month to share information and experiences. Most meetings have a presenter who is an expert in his/her field.

Meetings are the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:00AM to 12:00PM

LSVT Big and Loud for Parkinson's Disease


We will welcome speech therapist Amy Karlberg and physical therapist Amruta Gowaikar from LSVT Big and Loud, a type of therapy specifically designed to meet the unique needs of patients with Parkinson's Disease. It includes evidence-based occupational, physical, and speech techniques to improve movement and communication. Join us to learn about this therapy and how it can improve your mobility, function, and everyday vocal interactions.
