Welcome to the Connecticut Parkinson's Working Group

We are a non-profit organization that provides support and social networking for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers. We meet once a month to share information and experiences. Most meetings have a presenter who is an expert in his/her field.

Meetings are the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10:00AM to 12:00PM

Music Therapy For PD; Breakout Sharing Session


Dr. Christine Gummerson will be joining the group to speak about music-based interventions and music therapy as a complementary therapy in Parkinsons' disease. She will discuss the differences between music-based interventions and music therapy, and how participants can access related resources. She will also share insights from the Yale Harmony in Parkinson's program, created with support from APDA as part of the Yale Empowered with Parkinson's program.
