Welcome to the Connecticut Parkinson's Working Group

We are a non-profit organization that provides support and social networking for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers. We meet once a month to share information and experiences. Most meetings have a presenter who is an expert in his/her field.

Our September 17th 2022 meeting will be both in-person and online!
This event requires pre-registration so we can send the Zoom link to online attendees and ensure adequate social distancing space for in-person attendees. To register, please email martha.jaffe@cpwg.org and identify if you will be joining online or in-person.

Dr. Patrice Holmes, psychiatrist with the Center for Behavioral Health at Middlesex Health, will be our guest speaker. The presentation will describe the symptoms of and treatments for depression and anxiety in Parkinson's disease (PD), explore the theorized pathophysiological link between depression and PD, and examine the impact of the social context on mental health.
