Welcome to the Connecticut Parkinson's Working Group

We are a non-profit organization that provides support and social networking for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers. We meet once a month to share information and experiences. Most meetings have a presenter who is an expert in his/her field.

Join us for a Q&A session of "Ask the Doctor" with Dr. Neha Prakash, a Clinician Scientist with the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders (IND), a Senior Director Clinical Research for XingImaging, and an Assistant professor of Neurology, University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Subject: Qigong and Meditation; Breakout Sharing Session
Martha Jaffe will lead the group in a short Qigong (pronounced "chi gong") and guided meditation session to show the benefit of this ancient Chinese practice on some of the symptoms of Parkinson’s. Following the presentation we will have a breakout sharing session (one group for caregivers and one group for PWP’s).
